Is it normal that story.html does not display PDF and URL links

Hi,

I would like to ask is it a normal behaviour for story.html to not display PDF and URL links if view locally and not uploaded to LMS site?

Although it works fine after I uploaded to my LMS site.

The condition was if I open

story_html5.html : PDF and URL links open but the text in the storyline content area is not consistent as in some look bold and some not.
story.html : text display looks fine but after clicking on the button that links to PDF and URL, there is no reaction.

Is this normal?

When viewing content locally, any links to files and URLs are blocked by your browser's Flash security settings. There is a way to add a local folder as a Trusted Location in the Flash settings. See here: http://youtu.be/DOX77lpwUs4

Yes, as Michael mentioned - it's normal depending on the security settings and you can read more about that here. You'll always want to test content in the final intended publish environment to ensure it all works as expected.
