Is it possible leave a selected chapter in the menu in Storyline?

Oct 11, 2013

Hi all,

I have a customer who ask me if its possible to leave a chapter section selected (by color) in the menu of a course created in Storyline.

I have attached 2 screenshots that describes the situation.

In the first one, you can see a page titled "Objetivos", and on the left hand, in the menu, the chapter "Objetivos" is coloured in blue.

But in the second screenshot you can see a page called "Objetivos" too, but it is not coloured in the menu. That's because my customer doesn't want each paged to be titled as a unique page into the course. But he is asking me why in the menu we can't treat the chapters as what they are, and leave them coloured while you navitage through all of their pages. Is it possible?

Really thx.

Hi Mike,

first of all, really thx for your quick answer to my question!

The fact is that the Chapter "Objectives" has got 6 slides and they are titled with the same name: Objectives.

In a course with a very big menu, it will help the student to see the chapter Objectives highlighted in each of the 6 slides that form the chapter Objectives.

Sorry for my english, is not very fluent! But I think I've expressed the idea!

But, if is not possible, is not possible! Just wanted to know if there is a different possibility.

Thx.

Hi Cesc,

As Mike mentioned you can only highlight the slide you're on, and since those live as different slides, there wouldn't be a way to show the chapter highlighted within the player. Sounds like something you may want to share with our team in the form of a feature request though - if all slides within a chapter are hidden, indicate that you're still within that chapter by highlighting in?
