Is it possible, (Report Test results based on variable change)

Mar 18, 2021

I am currently working on a class that has 2 modules. Only the first module has a test. I want the "Results Page" to not report results until after the learner completes Module 2. Can this even be done. I have set up the variable on the second Module, but cant find a method to have the  Results slide report when the variable changes.

Thank you in advance.

Hi, Jason.

Thank you for reaching out!

You don't necessarily need a variable to accomplish what you're looking for. You can simply move the Results slide to a different position.

In the example below, the first slide is a menu with two options: Module 1 and Module 2.

Module 1 has the quiz, but once the quiz is done, the user is taken back to the main menu. Only after they complete Module 2 is when they see the Results slide.

If you need a variable (for example, you have multiple modules that need to be visited before the results are released), you could add a hidden button to the main menu called "Quiz Results" that would only appear (Change the state of Button to Normal) if the variables are true.

You would then add a trigger to each module, adjusting the variable to True when the timeline starts.

Let me know if this helps!

I don't really need a variable. All I need is the story to report the results after the student has completed module 2. My question about moving the results page is this. If it is moved will the student be advised if they passed or failed when the quiz is done or when the results page is viewed. What I would like is the student to be advised of their passing prior to the start of module 2, and if they did not pass they can re-take the quiz prior to starting Module 2.
