Is it possible to reduce the height of the "header" area for modern player?

I wish to reduce the header area's height so that the real course will gain more real estate on the screen. 

I tried to uncheck the "Title" box in player settings, but it still leaves a blank space that takes the same space as when the title was there. 

I tried to reduce the player text font size. The texts did get smaller, but the height of the header space is still the same. 

Is there a way to reduce the height of the header area? Why would the height (also the bottom of the player) take so much space?
