I have created a trigger using 4 conditions, and even though they are there when i go to edit my trigger, in the trigger panel on the right of the screen I only see 3 of the conditions. When I test it out, it doesn't seem to be working. Is there a limit to the number of conditions we can use?
There is not a limit to how many conditions you can add. In the side panel it will not show them all, but there will be a ... indicating there are more.
Also, you can always ad your file here using the paperclip icon and we can look at it for you, if something is not working as expected.
I'm just figuring Storyline out, and maybe there is a better way of doing what I have done here. But the task was to create a needs assessment checklist. There are 4 categories represented in the checklist. Each category has 3 questions associated with it (except for one which only has 2). Anyway, if a user selects 2/3 (1/2 for the exception) of any category, a text box has to show up for that item.
The way I did this was to create a layer for each possible combination. Then I created a variable to count the number of checkmarks for each category, and finally on the submit button I added triggers to show layers upon the conditions that 2/3 of x category was met, and so on.
What happened was that the order of my triggers messed things up. So if a user clicked ALL items, then only 3 categories showed up instead of 4. That was because my ALL layer was not in the right location - the conditions for the other layer (showing 3 categories) were being met first so my ALL layer never got showed.
I do wonder, is there a more elegant solution for this? If this was more complex this would be hard to do.

Nevermind. It seemed that all my conditions were there. The issue was the order of my triggers.

Thanks Emily! I'm posting the file.

Hello Yonca,
I am looking at the file now and it seems to be working properly, and showing all the responses when hitting submit.
Here is some information about trigger order, and also a good tutorial to watch.
