Is there a way to convert audio from existing video to 'Text-to-Speech' voice without having to type in script in Notes?

Jan 27, 2020

I have a number of videos that are inserted on certain slides in my course. The rest of the slides will be using the 'Text-to-Speech' automated voice to narrate the slides. Is there a way to convert the audio from my videos so the voices match or do I have to transcribe the narration of the videos into Notes and convert from text to speech? The longest video is 90 seconds so it probably won't be too bad but thought I'd ask if there were other solutions as I have other videos for another project that are longer and a more automated solution would come in handy.

Greetings and great question, Therese!

There isn't a built-in way to convert audio from videos to text-to-speech at the moment, where you'll need to type or paste the narration into the text-entry field or use slide notes as the script. More on working with this feature here!

I'll share your idea with the right team, and promise to let you know if we add additional editing tools and capabilities to the text-to-speech tool in the future!
