I have gone through most of the discussions on this but still didnt get the right answer. I wanna mute the audio. not pause or play the media. coz if i do u that there is lot of sync problem happening. Can someone help me with this!!!
There isn't a functionality of Storyline that will mute the audio on command - but there is a mute button as a part of the player as described here so that the user can mute when they'd like to.

I am also trying to make a mute/unmute button and with "Execute javascript" I managed to do it and it works in web plataforms, but when I upload my course in LMS/SCORM 1.2 it doesn't work. Does Storyline not allow to add javascript features in the courses that are uploaded in LMS?
It looks like I also responded in your post here. Take a look at the suggestions there to test in SCORM Cloud and what browsers to use. The Javascript code should work in Learning Management Systems just as it works on a web server.

Ashley, Sorry i forgot to mention that i am using my Customized GUI. mute option in default player doesnt help the purpose :-(

It's the volume button - that way the user can turn the volume all the way down, muting the audio.

When the volume icon is included in the player, it can be a click to mute vs using the slider:
Sounds like you are hoping for a one-click vs my two-click example.
