I have an activity where students have to modify a piece of text (pre-filled from a variable). It works fine except if they clear the text entry field altogether - then the variable reference code appears, for some reason. Any way to keep the blank field blank? Example: https://360.articulate.com/review/content/a8488a28-22da-4108-a61b-71a8e91b7ae5/review
Thank you for sharing your project! I cannot recreate this on my end using Storyline 360 (Build 3.47.23871.0) and Review 360. Here's what it looks like on my end: Peek
Would you mind telling me more about how you've created this slide?
Thanks Amy. I've found another work-around that works well. The input field actually pre-loads with the value of whatever variable is in the 'when object loses focus' trigger (even though this shouldn't have yet been triggered?). So no variable reference at all required! Fine for my use case. Still would have been nice if you could stick a paragraph full of different variables in an input field for students to edit, but I guess I'm pushing it.

Is the variable reference code set as the default instructional text on the slide?
Hi Lauren,
Issue attached.
The variable reference code is inside a text entry field input, not a text box.
Idea: Create a 2nd state of the text window that has nothing in it, and If Var = (empty), change state of text window to blank?
