Is there a way to stretch items in drag and drop?
May 14, 2014
I'm doing a wiring diagram that's a drag and drop quize. I have two options...
1) Have my diagram/target be static, with drop points set up and everything. The test taker then will take colored balls that represent the wiring colors and drop them to the proper terminals that represent the correct location.
OR, preferably...
2) I have the static diagram/target for the drop points. But instead of balls, I have a picture of the device that's to be wired and the student then grabs the end point of a wire and drags it to the terminal. The wire would somehow be a vector graphic or something that dynamically stretches to all possible drop points with the other end anchored to a central "cable" origin.
Does that make sense? Does anyone know if this is even possible?

You can use states and triggers to make this happen.
Use multiple states on the wires and change the state according to where the user drags or drops each wire. A lot of triggers (and angles/states) may be involved but it is possible.
Hope this helps,
Alex
