Is there a way to turn storyline projects from full screen to widescreen without messing up the format?

Is there a way to turn storyline projects from 4:3 to 16:9 without messing up the format? I just finished a project but someone let me know I built it in full screen and its needs to be changed to wide.

You have two automatic options: scale or crop

  • scale will convert the 4:3 to 16:9 but since you're changing aspect ratios it will modify the objects on screen to support the same conversion. Thus, they all get skewed a bit.
  • crop lets you go through slide by slide and crop the slide. That will keep all of the objects and alignment as designed, but you are cropping part of the screen

Another option is to open a new slide at 16:9 and then copy and paste your content. That will keep if from skewing the objects. You need to make sure the height of the 4:3 and 16:9 are the same and you should be able to copy and paste slides.

They'll end up in the center and have wide margins. You make want to check variables and triggers to make sure everything is working right.

Here's a quick tutorial

Personally, I'd see if you can just keep it 4:3. In the grand scheme it's not that big of a difference and will save some time.
