I'm recording several videos on how to access certail software and have slide notes written. However, when I use the 'Record Screen' feature,I no longer have access to my slide notes. Is there anyway to do this?
How about opening a second instance of your Storyline course, and then just moving it out of the shot of your screen recorder? Or, you can use Screenr as your screen recording device, and then import that into your Storyline course.
This is one of the "stranger" features of Storyline IMHO, having to open 2 x versions of it when you want to do a project such as this.
Peter - is there an obvious/sensible explanation of why SL has been built to behave like this? I have got very used to it now, however, this way of working is something that still puzzles me.
I'll see if I can get an answer from the dev guys, but my best guess would be that they anticipated more users to use the screen recording option for third-party software outside of Storyline, and thus maybe thought it would be easier to "hide" Storyline to get it out of the way of other programs and to prevent it from showing up in task bars, etc.
I do agree it would be nice to be able to toggle this feature on or off. Feature request?
