Issue Converting Bullets from PowerPoint to Articulate

May 01, 2015

I imported a PowerPoint presentation into Articulate containing square green bullets.  However, Articulate seems to convert them all into standard black circle bullets.  What is the optimal way to maintain the original format (square green bullets)?  I have attached an example from PowerPoint.  Thank you for any assistance.

Hi, Rob -

I agree with Phil, and as it looks like you created a custom bullet, unfortunately that will not import into SL. When importing Microsoft PowerPoint content into Articulate Storyline, note that most features in PowerPoint and Articulate Presenter are supported in Storyline, but some are not. Here are some Tips for Importing Microsoft PowerPoint and Articulate Presenter Content. Hope that helps!

Has Articulate made any upgrades to this issue since this question was last posted?  The issue is about how to get square bullets into Articulate Rise.   I've been able to use ALT+9726 to manually create square bullets and then manually adjust the spacing with the tab key and space bar.  However, if a bullet wraps to a 2nd line, the text on the 2nd line doesn't indent properly in RIse like it would with a regular bullet list.  This is all very labor intensive, especially for longer ebooks.  I've tried copy/paste from Word and PowerPoint, but Rise converts the square to round (and sometimes to other shapes).   Does Articulate have any plans to create a square version of the current round bullet feature.

Thanks for your help.

square bullets created with ALT+9726 but the text that wraps around to the second line does not indent properly.

Hi Nancy,

There are no current plans to create a square bulleted list, but I appreciate you reaching out with what you'd like to see!

I’ll be happy to pass your thoughts on to our product team, but you can also feel free to detail them more through a feature request!

In the meantime, the closest option is the checkbox list, which is right above the bulleted list option.
