Issue progressing

May 30, 2019

Hi all -

I've been looking at my screen too long so I'm hoping for quick help. I have a slide that I can't progress through to the next slide. I have users clicking on icons to reveal text below on a new layer. I can't get it to move onto the next slide though after the last layer shows.

I've pasted a file with the sample slides it's for slide 2 clicking next to slide 3.

Thank you!

Hi Christina,

I'm not sure I fully understand the problem as the version I have just downloaded moves from slide 2 to slide 3 every time when I click on the Next button.

If what you are asking is for a solution to prevent the users from clicking the Next button until all four icons have been selected, that can be easily achieved using variables (just let me know if you need help with this).

I also noticed that a number of your icons (the right hand three) all have transparent backgrounds and so, if the user hovers the cursor over a white portion of the icon, they cannot select it (this is a common problem). What you should do is to place a square or circular shape over the top of the icon and give it a 100% transparent background (not "no fill") and no outline and then use that as the selected object to bring up your layer. Alternatively, you could place it behind the icon with a white background and no outline and group it with the icon. You would then have to use the appropriate group to bring up the layer when selected.
