Issue with Automated Feedback in Step-By-Step Screen Recordings
Nov 27, 2015
I’ve got a problem in Storyline 2 that I can’t seem to get around. Whenever I insert a Screen Recording using the step-by-step (try mode) function I’m getting a Try Again Feedback automated in addition to my custom Feedback Master. The really annoying part is that I have to manually remove the automated feedback in each and every slide.
Since I’m working on a project with a lot of simulations out of the step-by-step function in the Screen Recorder this is a mayor issue to me, even a serious problem with the program. I should be able to add my custom Feedback Master by default instead of manually removing these annoying automated messages in hundreds of slides.
I’m out of ideas and can’t find a solution to this issue – I hope someone can help me out!

Hi Carlis,
Did you look at removing the correct feedback option when you insert the screen recording as a try it mode?
You can read more about the options for inserting your screen recordings into Storyline here.
I did, and it removes the feedback for correct answers. It's the Try Again-feedback that's bugging me. I'm trying to get rid of the automatically generated text and fields that always comes with the Step-By-Step Try mode. If I want feedback I'd just like to manage that in the Feedback Manager.
Removing feedback manually takes a lot of time since the Step-By-Step mode generates quite a lot of screens (we're talking about e few hundred screens in my project)

HI Carlis,
Are you using try or test mode? If you're using "test mode" and you have the attempts set to more than one, you'd see the try again prompt. If you want to rid the text overall you could look at only using one attempt, or you could also look at modifying the built in feedback master layer for the try again prompt. You may want to review the information here in terms of dealing with feedback masters.
