Issue with slide layers and voice overs

I am having an issue with
slide layering and voice overs.
If I record voice overs for all layers within a slide how can I store the voice
over recording from continuing to play once the learner has jumped to one of
the layers?
I realize that this is only an issue if the learners aren't listening to the entire slide's recording, but I don't want the voice over to be sloppy.
Got any tips?

Each layer can be set to pause the main timeline. Use the cog on the layer to open the layer properties
awesome! Which option should I select to pause the timeline? All I can see under the layer properties are "revisit" options, but I also need the voice over to not play on the initial visit as well.
Never mind! I found the option. I was only looking at the main slide, not the layered slides.
Thanks! Everything works great now.
