Hi all, I have been using the value field in a text entry variable to display text that the learner can edit.
I have created a number of these and have successfully added anything from a sentence to a paragraph in the value fields.
Now, all of a sudden, I can only add one line to the value field. I am not sure why this is happening. Is there a setting someplace that I accidently adjusted or is there some kind of limit on the amount of text you can store this way?
Any help would be appreciated. I am creating a writing course so this is pretty big problem for me.
Hi Geert, I checked the settings as you suggested and the all set to Do not Autofit and the Wrap text in shape is selected so I don't think that is the problem.
It is more that I can't even paste the entire paragraph in the value field. When I paste the paragraph, it is only pasting in the first sentence.
Ok solved it - If I first paste the text into notepad or into the notes area in Storyline and then copy and paste the text it the variable fieldit works.
There must have been some special characters in the Word doc that where causing the problem.

take a look at the text properties of your input field, perhaps it is set to auto resize, or the wrap text is not set...

Intertesting, it is the paste function that is not working properly. I can manually type the text into the field.
