Issues wiht the width of some characters

Mar 17, 2020

Hi, I am experiencing some odd issues with illustrated-realistic characters.. their width is reduced when inserted. It´s not done on purpose. Do you know why? thanks¡ I send an example.

Hello Paola,

Welcome to the community!

Allow me to help you on the issue with the illustrated-realistic characters in your Storyline project.

There are several Picture Tools that you can use to customize a picture once you've inserted it onto a slide in Storyline. Seeing the picture you've attached, you can either change the size of the picture or bring the selected object forward or send it backward. You can check this article for more information on how you can do it:

Hope this helps!

Hi Paola,

Thanks for the clarification! I've seen a few users run into similar issues previously, but they were able to resolve in one of a couple of ways:

  • It could be that your DPI setting needs to be adjusted. Try this:
    • Right-click your desktop and select Display settings.
    • Click the Display tab in the upper left corner of the window that appears.
    • Under Scale and layout, select 100% from the drop-down list.
  • Following the steps in this article for a clean installation with the latest version.

If neither tip helps with inserting characters correctly, connect with a support engineer, and they'll take a closer look!
