Issues with a Drag and Drop interaction-Desktop vs. Mobile

Jul 23, 2015

Good morning, everyone!

I am currently working on a Drag and Drop interaction for a Dress Code course. Drag the clothes over the person, hit submit, and get feedback. I published the course to our pilot site. It works perfectly on a desktop, and then when I go to test on our iPad in the mobile application, the first interaction doesn't work. It keeps coming back with "incorrect" when it is the correct interaction. I've increased the size of the drop zone, and this has not helped. Our company uses Cornerstone for our LMS platform. I've included the .story files for the drag and drop interactions. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, Rachel - Sorry to hear you are having these issues, and I appreciate that you have attached your file. I will take a look shortly, and let you know what I find.

Just to confirm, are you able to upload and test your published output in the SCORM Cloud? You may also want to check out these articles on troubleshooting LMS issues:

Perhaps some Cornerstone users in the community will be able to chime in with their thoughts or suggestions, as well. Be in touch soon.

Hi, Christie!

Thank you for taking a look at my slides!

I have not tested in in the SCROM cloud. I am wary of using the cloud for future courses, because I do not want to upload proprietary information into a cloud website. I felt comfortable uploading the two slides which are not working for me into this discussion, but when we deal with sensitive sales information, I will not want to upload it to the Cloud.

I can get it to work perfectly and as expected on the desktop version of Cornerstone. It is only the Cornerstone mobile app that is giving me issues.

Hi, Rachel -- My apologies that I have not had a chance to look at them yet, and unfortunately, I may not have the opportunity until the morning (I am on the East Coast of the US). However, if this is urgent, and you would like to have our Support Engineers take a look before tomorrow, you would be welcome to submit your file for review using this form (they have different availability on that team). All files are reviewed confidentially.

I  also want to add a couple of other issues I noticed with my drag and drop that just popped up

1. The pants keep centering on the man and the woman if they are laid on after I put on the shirt. They do not sit on their hips. Is there a way to fix this?

2. Sometimes the clothing disappears from the screen altogether. This seems to happen if I drag and drop something incorrectly, but I am not 100% sure if this is the cause.

Thank you again!

Hi, Rachel -- Thanks again for sharing your files, and after doing some testing, I was able to see the same issues that are occurring for you on iPad when I publish and test with tempshare. Unfortunately, I was not able to determine the root of the issues you are experiencing, so I would like to ask that you submit your file for review using this form. One of our Support Engineers will be in touch via email, and I will look for your ticket to follow along.
