Issues with Audio Recording

Mar 13, 2020

Hi!

I am using Articulate 360 and trying to record audio for the voiceover.

Having a couple of issues:

1. The volume of my voice will change significantly during the recording, starting low and then getting higher all of a sudden when I listen back to what I have recorded

2. When I save and go to edit, it won't sound the same - the volume will go high and low and different points to when it did on the playback initially. There will also be a lot of interference making the audio juddery.

I have tried two different microphones and have also unchecked the AGC option in Control Panel as per a recommendation on a previous discussion.

Can anyone help? I have attached an example to show what I mean - what is also odd is the issue is more noticable on the MP3 file then on the WAV but neither sound as bad as when playing the file back in storyline.

Confused!

Thank you.

Danielle

Hi Danielle!

Thank you so much for sharing the audio file! I took a listen and didn't hear any volume change in either one of the audio files. I'm using simple, Apple earphones.

I also went ahead and recorded a sample audio file. Can you test this on your end and see if the volume changes?

Please keep me updated so that we can determine where the culprit is!
