Hello, I have some triggers (jump to URL) which work fine even if I publish my project. But once I rename or move the published project folder the triggers dont work any more...
I apologize for the delay in response. Are you able to share your .story file, so I can take a look at what's happening? To do so, use the paperclip icon when responding to this thread to attach the file.
I just saw your other post on this topic. Please make sure that you're testing your presentation in the environment for which it's intended. For example, if you plan on putting your presentation on an LMS or web server, this is where you would need to test it. If you publish and test from your desktop, it may not function properly.
If you view published Storyline content on your local hard drive or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail.
To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. Please review the following article for details:
I know :) but it was quite related to the issue I was facing.
It is solved now though. The ICT team disabled the Sharepoint safety option of automatically downloading html files when trying to open them online. Therefore I can launch the story.html on the web and the links work well.
I understand Amaia, and we have no issue in utilizing the same threads like that. We just like to be sure to double check when they are a few years old because of system and software changes.
I'm glad to hear that you were able to reach resolution on your issue though and I appreciate you sharing the solution and update with the community :)
I have a slide that has a number of question buttons, and an answer texts. No layers.
I have put a trigger on the answer text box to- "change the state of answer to hidden when timeline starts"
I have put a trigger on the answer text box to- "change the state of the answer to hidden when user clicks outside the question"
I have put a trigger on the button text box to- "change the state of answer to normal when user clicks question". I have also tried the "selected" state and either works
Everything works in storyline previewing - text comes and goes whether I click a button or anywhere on the screen, however, when published the second step doesnt hide the text when I click on the next button. It will hide the text if I click anywhere in the window, but not the next question button.
I also save the files to a library in SharePoint and the same things happens using the .html format to launch. I dont understand why it works in preview but not in publishing.
If you are using the built-in button, it is not in the window, so your click doesn't register when it is published. When you are previewing, the whole screen registers. You can write a trigger to hide text when user clicks Next button if you want. Rather than hiding it when the timeline starts by using a trigger, you can also make its initial start hidden, then it doesn't matter whether it is hidden when the user clicks the next button.
I'm just making a wild guess here, it's pretty hard to tell when I can't see what you have. If that isn't the problem, use the ADD ATTACHMENT button to attach your .story file.

Hello Christine,
thank you very much for your reply! The problem was that I have used story.swf instead of story.html in published link from my web server.
Thanks for your support!

Good morning Ondrej,
That's great! I'm very happy to hear you were able to get it up and running. Thanks very much for the update
I have the same problem. I have story.swf on the web server as it looks like Sharepoint 2013 does not open the .html files.
Any ideas on how to proceed?
Thanks!
Hi Amaia! This thread is a bit dated.
You are publishing your course to the web and are not able to open the story.html file once uploaded on your server?
Is this an issue that you can follow up with your Sharepoint administrator? Are you able to access if you test on Tempshare?

Thanks for the quick response Walt. That makes sense. I didn't know about the buttons.
Will try the different trigger.
