Issues with Zooms

Apr 10, 2020

Hello everyone,

I just recently did the 3.38.21861.0 update (not that this matters because this has been going on for a while but appears worse since the update.). I work a ton with screen recordings. When  I put a zoom in the recording and set it to show until the end of the slide, it will zoom out before the slide has ended. This is super annoying! Some slides work fine others no matter what I do, it zooms out. I have even deleted and readded a new zoom, sometimes 3 or 4 times with the same result. Does anyone know what causes this or how to fix it? I am wasting a lot of time trying to fix this.

Thanks!

Hi Melissa,

Thank you for letting us know!

I can understand how that is frustrating! I tried to recreate the issue on my side; however, I am finding that the Zoom Region is staying zoomed in. A couple of questions for you on this:

  • Does this happen in a new file?
  • May I ask if you could share a Peek 360 of the issue taking place? This would help out greatly to better determine what is taking place.

In case this helps, you can find more details about Peek 360 here: Getting Started with Peek 360

Hello Vincent,

I am experiencing another issue with zooms as well. I did the recording using Peek but it fails to upload.  So now I am having two issues with zooming. One, it will stay until the end of the slide (which I don't have to show you at the moment). Two, the zoom is not zooming.  I do have a recording of the second issue. I am just not sure how to get past the Peek upload failure.

Thanks!

Hello!

Yes, it happens on new file. I also found something else it is doing. It is not honoring the resizing of the zoom so if I make the zoom smaller and then play the slide there is no effect. It's like I did nothing to it.
Yes, I will try to use Peek to show you what is going on.

Thanks
Melissa

Hello!

Every time I try to upload the video I get a "Failed - Try Again" error.
