I am building a course and need to show a completion in the LMS if a participant clicks a button, and incomplete status if they just exit the course. I'm thinking that a javascript action on the button could send a completion status to the LMS. 2 questions; does anybody know of the java code to accomplish this or is there another option in Storyline that would work?
For a javascript, the function sent is usually complete(), completed(), or finalize() depending on the SCORM version you are using and eth status you want to send, however, Storyline handles all this in the SCORM publish settings.
If you select complete/incomplete that will send a course completion status based on pages viewed to the LMS, and selecting the Passed/incomplete (or other) will submit the completion status and score to the LMS.
Is there a specific issue you are having?
If yes:
What LMS are you using?
What SCORM version are you publishing for?
The LMSAPI.js file located in your C:\Program Files (x86)\Articulate\Articulate Storyline\Content\lms folder contains all the cmi data calls that Storyline supports.
Yes, I've used the very same technique described by Phil; Even if you don't really want to hide the result slide, you can customize it to emphasize the end of training and invite users to use the finish button to send the proper feedback.

It would be easier to do this using a single quiz question with the submit on the button then jump to a hidden results slide and an exit trigger

What if I have to pass 100% score to the LMS, is there a script someone can help with.
