I inserted a javascript trigger in Storyline to print a slide.
---
window.print();
---
The result is hit or miss. Sometimes, it doesn't work at all. Sometimes, it works in Internet Explorer, but in FireFox, every time I trigger this JS, it freezes the browser that I have to restart the browser again.
Any idea why this is happening?
Any better idea to print a slide from Storyline? Or a better JS code for this functionality?
The first thing I would like to ask is if you both have the latest version of Java installed. It's probably not the cause of your problems but it doesn't hurt to cross it off the list. I would then make sure that your browsers whether they by firefox, IE, or chrome are up to date as well.
That is all I have for you both right now. I am fixing to go to bed, it's late here. If this question is still unanswered when I wake up, I will take a closer look at it myself and see if I can replicate your experiences.
Thanks for your kind consideration even so late at night!
I just created general HTML file and put alert and print functions on it and it just worked. When I try to execute same thing from my story it does not works.....In between, I am using Google Chrome 20.0.1132.47 m!
Are you using a Mac and viewing the course locally, by any chance? If so, this may be the issue. Try publishing for web and uploading to either Amazon S3 or Dropbox to see if that resolves it.
I am using Windows 7 Google Chrome...Even I am surprised why this is not working.....I will just upload one sampel story and any of you guys if wud be able to test it at yourr end then it would be great.....
I'm trying to print using Chrome and Firefox (on PC) and it comes up with a blank slide. The java script function to print only seems to work with Internet Explorer. Can someone please enlighten me on this?
