One thing I do when I want this type of functionality is I break my slide content up into chunks that I can place on slide layers. This then gives me the ability to "fake" jumping to points in my timeline by jumping to different slide layers.
It works for some slide content, but not for all... I'd love to see this feature added in the very near future.
