I have a slide at the end of scene 3 that should jump to previous scene.
Problem is, it doesn't jump.
I have to use jump to slide.
One thing worth mentioning, is scene 1 jumped to scene 3. When the trigger on scene 3 fires to jump to previous scene, should I understand that it should jump to scene 1 or scene 2?
So sorry you're running into this. We're seeing the same problem, and our team is on it.
Until we have a fix in place, you can work around this issue by pointing to the actual scene you want to jump to instead of using "previous scene" in the trigger.
Thanks again for bringing this up, and I'll keep this discussion updated with any new information.
My understanding of previous is that you should be jumping back to Scene 1 as it was the previous scene you where in. This functionality helps with branching scenarios and Help/Tip/Resource Slides even as you can jump out to a single slide and then successfully be able to jump back into the previous slide that you called the slide from.
You mentioned in your other post that the previous button isn't working when you resume the course in your LMS. What are your previous buttons programmed to do?
I have the most updated version. I can't get this feature to work. I can substitute any number of other items in the Jump to scene section, a specific scene, a specific slide, next scene. However, the previous scene does nothing. Similar scenario as posted. Going from Scene 2 to 3 and need to return to 3. Using a variable set to false for scene completion. If false return to previous scene.
Sorry to hear the issue has returned! I was able to replicate, so I'll follow-up with my team and jump back in here when there's any progress to share on this bug.
Newer to Articulate, do you know a workaround so I can continue testing my project? I can't hardcode where to jump, since some scenes are re-used by other scenes. Thanks
The current workaround is to point the trigger to the specific scene, but I understand where you're coming from based on your design!
As we continue to investigate, would you be willing to share your .story file with us? We'd love to take a look at your set-up to offer more tailored support. If you're able to share the project, please use this private upload link!
I'm sorry, but we don't have any updates yet. This is still an open issue with our team, but we'll let folks know in this discussion once we have more info to share.

Hi again Daniel! 👋

Good news, folks! We fixed the issue you reported where the "Jump to previous scene" trigger was not working correctly.
Install the latest Storyline 360 update to take advantage of all the recent features and fixes.
If the problem happens again, please record a Peek 360 screencast for me, and I’ll be happy to help!

Hello. This project got sidelined but I'm back on it. Seems the Jump to Previous Scene still is not working. Any update? Thanks so much.
