I have a jump to slide command based on a number of variables in the current slide being equal to "true", when the slide timeline starts.
I have checked that the variables are all being trigged to change to true when entering that slide and they are, but the slide is not advancing. Can you advise what further triggers I should check?
Are the variables changed before the particular slide, or on that particular slide? If they're on the slide that you want to "jump to a new slide" the triggers to jump to a new slide is likely before those triggers which change the variables, and therefore when the slide timeline starts all the variables are still at false. I'd suggest either placing the trigger to change the variables on a previous slide - or change the "jump to slide" common based on when the variable changes, with a condition that all the variables are true.
The variables are changed to true when the learner clicks a button on the last slide of a course section that returns them to the "menu" slide. If all the variables are true the learner is then supposed to be directed to a "tanks you have completed the course" slide. The only change I have introduced is adding in quiz slides at the end of each section, and changing the variable adjustment to be on the "continue" button of the correct / incorrect layer. I'll check this again to see if this is the issue.
Thanks Sacha - if you're still having difficulty it may be easier to figure it out if you're able to share your .story file here with us. If you're unable to post it within the forums you're also able to send it along here.
I managed to figure out what was going wrong - it was a combination of the order of triggers on the previous slides and trying to use the same trigger to do multiple actions based on different variables. I introduced a new set of variables so each trigger related to a single variable and re-ordered the triggers - works just great now.
I'd agree with Walt - issues with triggers and variables are tricky to diagnose without seeing the file. You may want to review the trigger order, as detailed here and you could always put a variable reference (By writing the following on the slide - %VariableName%) and that would allow you to see if it's changing.

hi again
I managed to figure out what was going wrong - it was a combination of the order of triggers on the previous slides and trying to use the same trigger to do multiple actions based on different variables. I introduced a new set of variables so each trigger related to a single variable and re-ordered the triggers - works just great now.
Thanks Sacha for the update and glad you were able to figure it out!
I'm having exactly the same problem, only I can't figure out what's wrong. Can anyone help?
If Sacha's solution doesn't work for you, if you could post your .story file here, maybe someone can take a look at it.
