Keyboard Stroke Trigger Dual Function

Dec 08, 2016

So I know there have been a lot of discussions around filling out forms. I'm building a course and at the end the learner will be able to fill out the form using text entry. I want to give immediate feedback if a field is completed incorrectly. They will press enter to "submit" their "answer" and if they get it wrong a "try again layer" will open. However, if they get it right I would like the same key stroke (enter)  to trigger moving to the next slide to continue filling out the field. I just can't figure out how to make that happen. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi Ellen,

Do you have a sample file of what you're working with right now? You could look at having the "correct" feedback layer automatically jump to the next slide when the timeline starts so that the next slide is the question slide with the next fill in the blank? If you have a text entry that you want to be where the focus is when you start on that slide, if the text entry box is the top most element on the slide (or within the timeline the last item listed) that'll allow it to grab focus first and allow the user to just enter in text right away when visiting the slide.
