Keyboard trap in stroryline module
Jul 11, 2018
When keyboard user moves focus in the storyline HTML 5 content, the keyboard is locked into the module and it is not possible to focus out of the module (using the tab key or any other way). This invalidates the WCAG No Keyboard Trap criterion (2.1.2) which is declared as supported on Articulate Storyline and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) page (https://articulate.com/support/article/articulate-storyline-and-web-content-accessibility-guidelines-wcag). Could you provide more information on how to prevent a keyboard trap ?
Thanks

Hi David!
I'm happy to help clarify this. When you tab through Storyline content, you should also be able to tab to the URL address bar. Here's a Peek at how that should work.
You can also test this behavior by opening this HTML5 output file here.
If you're not seeing the same behavior when testing your own files, let's first be sure you're using the latest update of your software. To check, click the Help tab, then click About Storyline. What version number do you see there?
Hello Alyssa and thank you very much,
The storyline content I'm having trouble with was made on storyline 360. We're going to see if we can find any difference with the example you sent and our export.
Thanks, David. And do you know the exact version of Storyline 360 you're using? I'm using Storyline 360 version 3.17.16188.0.
Let me know what you uncover through your testing!
