Keystroke Trigger
May 31, 2019
Hi everyone,
I am sure this question was answered somewhere I apologize for the redundancy; I am having issues with creating a trigger that will continue to the next frame if a keystroke was entered.
For example, the "Try me" software simulation.
It did not record all of the keystrokes in the video and are manually entering it on each frame. So the trigger that works is:
Trigger Wizard
Action: Submit interaction
Interaction: Shortcut Keys 1
When: User clicks
Object: Submit Button
Now when I try to add it in manually because it was not picked up in the recording, the only thing that is different is the Interaction. The drop down for the interaction menu contains only "unassigned" and nothing else. I suspect that is where my issue lies? Can anyone connect me with a tutorial on how to do this?
Looks like:
Trigger Wizard
Action: Submit interaction
Interaction: unassigned
When: User clicks
Object: Submit Button
Thank you all for your help I appreciate it!

You probably need to convert to freeform for those slides.
Hi!
Thank you for the response. I apologize I was able to convert to a free form view but was not able to edit my trigger to create the new "shortcut key" profile to be added/selected under Interaction Type.
Hoping to get a little more insight on this?
Thank you!
SORRY
THANK YOU PHIL I figured it out!
So under the Free form questions I can create a new built in Freeform Question and use the Shortcut Key as the input to manually add in a new one
Thank you so much!
No need to apologize, Tara. Way to go on sorting that out :)
Thanks for popping back in to share.
