Lagging Scorm Video

Hi there!
I have several Scorm 1.2 projects that have Video Slides and Quizzes at the end of the video. The videos are mp4's imported into the project and they range from 2 mins-5 mins each. The slides also varies from 9 slides- 25 slides.
The issue we are having is some of our clients have slow internet and trying to watch these videos.
With this speed, we are having issues with lag time and the video messing up while trying to play the video. We are thinking of taking out the scrub bar but it also takes out the play/pause button.
Question: How do I make the video play smoothly with a much slower internet speed?

Hi PJ,
Storyline already does quite a bit of compression during the publish process, but you could also adjust the publish quality of your videos to see if that helps.
Thanks for the response,
I have worked with the quality to make the files smaller however the issue is with the speed of the internet. Things still get laggy.
Thank do you think?
Hi PJ,
Unfortunately, if a course contains media of any kind, there's not much that can be done for a very slow connection outside of publishing for CD, which of course, you wouldn't be able to track via LMS.
Would offering the videos as a separate resource outside of the course be an option?
Thanks Peter,
Unfortunately a different platform is not an option. We need to produce these in a Scorm based Project. I have used other E-Learning programs and still a bit new to Articulate. Would a Pre-Loader help my situation?
Well, by default, Storyline already preloads published content in a specific order to make playback of your courses as smooth as possible.
There may be a third-party pre-loader out there, but I don't recall seeing one.
In some cases, the MP4 file may not be properly formatted. As a result, users may experience a long delay while the entire video downloads. If you have an MP4 file that is exhibiting this behavior, you may be able to correct it by using the method described here.
Hopefully that helps..
