When watching a video in our published course built in SL360, we noticed when the phone is held in Portrait view, then to Landscape, and back to Portrait, the position of the video becomes off center and partly out of view on the phone.
We tested this issue in Chrome on both iPhone 5 and 6. Any ideas why this is happening?
This issue is still open with our team, but it's fairly limited in scope to the mobile Chrome browser on iOS devices and when viewing a video. In the meantime, you can use the mobile Safari browser.
We'll keep you posted with any updates on this issue.
I tested this sample course on Chrome in iOS 11, and I didn't notice that the slide became off-center when switching from portrait to landscape mode multiple times.
Could you also test that link and let me know if you see the problem happening there? Thanks!
Thanks for that screenshot, Marco. I'm having trouble recreating this problem on my device--could you tell me more about the device you're using? What iOS version are you running? I am using iOS 11.1.2.
Appreciate the update, Marco. I have seen other reports of this happening on iOS 10, and we have it logged as a bug for that iOS version. However, I'm not seeing it happen in iOS 11. If you happen to update your iOS, let us know if the problem still happens there. Thanks!
Thanks, Leslie. Was this included on the April 11, 2019 release (Build 3.26.18601.0)? I don't see it on the version history notes and my Storyline 360 appears to be updated.
Hi there, Margaret. We did some retesting on older issues, and this one appeared to be fixed in the most recent version. Please let us know if you're still seeing this happen, though!
Hm, I'm unable to reproduce this behavior on a test Storyline 3, Update 6, file. Would you mind sharing your .story file so I can take a closer look at what's happening on mobile Chrome?
You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by using this upload link. I'll let you know what I find, and will delete it after troubleshooting.
I'm currently running update 6 and finding the issue in Safari.
Everything is working as expected on files published before the most recent update but anything after the update isn't showing correctly centered onscreen.

Hey Abbie! Thanks for bringing this up. I gave it a quick test on iPhone 6 iOS 10.3.1 in mobile Chrome, and I saw the same thing you're seeing.
From here, I’ll meet with my team to take a closer look and report this as a software bug. As soon as I have an update, I'll let you know!
Great, thank you! We appreciate it.

Happy to help, Landon!
that's still happening...
any news about this annoying bug?

Tnx Ashley,

Chrome mobile IOS 62.0.3202.70
IOS 10.0.2
same on iPhone 6 plus
I'll try with an iPhone 7 asap and I'll post updates
Thanks Marco, it's only in Chrome correct? Can you users use Safari in the meantime?
Also, can you tell me if this happens the first time you switch orientation or if it after a few repeated switching back and forth?
completely random,
sometimes the 1st time,
sometimes after a few repeated switching back and forth...
Hi Marco,
When you're switching it and seeing the behavior, did you open the link anew or refresh the page? Do you have other tabs open in Chrome?
How did it behave in Safari?

Hi everyone,
Good news! We fixed the issue you reported where:
Landscape to Portrait view on Mobile Chrome becomes off-center
Install the latest Storyline 360 update to take advantage of all the recent features and fixes. Here's how.
If the problem happens again, please record a Peek 360 screencast for me, and I'll be happy to help!

Hi guys
Has this also been patched for Storyline 3?
Thank you

I've uploaded my file on that private link.
