Large file size.

Hey there--
I'm creating a course in Storyline 2 that was getting to be over 500 megabytes in size. So I decided to split it into 2 courses. I copied and pasted the scenes I had yet to do into a new document an saved it.
This new, 2nd Storyline doc currently consists of 18 slides--no audio, no video. Just some text and a few images. But the file size is 379 megabytes!! How on earth can it be that big? There's hardly anything to it.
Any ideas?
Thank much--Dale Osborn

Hi Dale,
Can you please share your story file?
Hi Dale
try creating a new file and importing the slides in rather than copy/paste
Hi Dale!
Here's how to import slides from other Articulate Storyline courses.
Leslie--
Thanks for responding. Instead of copying and pasting the slides, I did import them as suggested. Well, it worked liked a dream. The copy/pasted file was 379 KB; the new on is 5 KB. Thanks for the link on how to do it. Learning all the time.
Thanks very much for your time and expertise--Dale

Thanks for responding. The file is too big to email. Someone else suggested that instead of copying and pasting the slides, that I import them instead. Well, it worked liked a dream. The copy/pasted file was 379 KB; the new on is 5 KB. Learning all the time.
Thanks very much--Dale
So happy to hear your update! I'm with you on "learning all the time." Great work team. :)
Thanks for responding. I can't share the file because it's too big to email. However, another person suggested that instead of copying and pasting the slides, that I import them into a new Storyline document (and they sent a link on how to do this). Well, it worked liked a dream. The copy/pasted file was 379 KB; the new on is 5 KB. Learning all the time.
Thanks--Dale
Glad to hear it Dale and thanks for the update. Although I'm not sure why the same responses keep coming through? Perhaps you are responding to each reply via e-mail and not realizing those actually post to the forums? Just a thought.
