Hello Philip,

Thanks for the details and the example of what you are experiencing. 

We have another issue that Alyssa shared here, that is related to the first drag item.

This conversation is attached so that we can provide an update when we have one to share.

The workaround we have listed is the same one you noted, which is to set the Shuffle to 'None'.

Hi!

I face the same issues regarding the 1st drag item disappearing in Quizmaker 360 with Shuffle on.

I want to know when this issue will finally be fixed? I want to check if my learner knows the answer by analyzing it, not by knowing by heart '1st goes there, 2nd goes there...'...

And I don't want to remove my client customized background as well...

Hi Joyce!

Does the first drag item disappear quickly after you press the Submit button? We're seeing that behavior in Quizmaker 360, as well.

I don't have a timeframe for a fix at this point, but we promise to keep you posted. Thanks for letting us know this is affecting your work, and I'm sorry for the headaches!

Ok, sorry Alyssa it has to be you, but it's another time I see this... reply. Please keep in mind that it's not personal, it's about overall company behaviour past 6 years I use Storyline.

Seriously, you don't have a timeframe for bug that exist for at least year? Does anybody even consider repairing TECHNICAL BUGS? Or can we, people who paid for the software, just blabber for ourselves, to let other people know 'hey there, yeah, it's not only you, don't worry, it might be repaired in next 3 years maybe', seriously, what's wrong with developer team to not prioritize such things? How many people should write, that the problem exists and it's a serious thing for them? It's not a feature request, it's a bug report! Which sometimes seriously affects the learning itself, not to mention it aesthetic.
You should hear my last conversation with a client... Yes sir, I know it's disappearing, however I cannot do anything for you, as the bug exist since the last year and company which made the e-learning developing software doesn't bother and I'm beyond repairing it myself.

That's not the way you should treat people who buy something from you. Really. Maybe try to raise that concern with your manager and do a little changes in customer support?

For those using Storyline 3: We're excited to share that Update 6 is now live – check out all the goodies here, and here's where you can download this latest version!

  • Update 6 holds a fix for the issue where the last drag item in a drag-and-drop interaction would disappear after completing the interaction in the HTML5 output

For those using Storyline 360 and Quizmaker 360:

  • While I don't have an update for the issue where the first drag item dropped in a drag-and-drop interaction disappears when moving to the next slide (when answers are shuffled) just yet, we do have it prioritized. I know it's impacting your work, so we promise to keep you posted on its progress.

Thanks for your patience while our team tied up loose ends on the fix for the issue where a first drag item in a drag-and-drop interaction could disappear when answer choices were shuffled. Update 26 of Storyline 360 is live today and resolves this issue. Follow the steps here to update your Storyline 360 app!

Hello everyone,

I wanted to pop in to let you know we've released a fix for this issue in Storyline 3 where the first drag item dropped in a Drag and Drop interaction disappears when moving to the next slide if answers are shuffled. You'll find that fix available in the latest update to Storyline 3, which is Build 3.7.20003.0.
