Latest Storyline | Issues with selecting objects and options on toolbar

Jul 02, 2018

After duplicating a couple slides and layers in Storyline, my cursor  looks like it has an offset plus sign at its tip, similar to the cursor when duplicating objects.

Moving objects around slides began to trigger odd behavior. Objects would reposition way father then the mouse cursor was located, up to 800000+ x 27 or whatever my y coordinate was. After realizing the issues were more consistent than the intermittent + on my cursor, it appeared that undoing the moved objects actually reverted back many more steps than expected.

On Windows 10 laptop. Using latest version of Storyline. I have tried ctrl+z when a glitch occurs, ctrl+y, save as a new file, restarted Storyline and my computer. Even still, Storyline can only be opened by opening a source file. Going to start - programs - Storyline is not working as expected.

What would be the best troubleshooting method to resolve these issues?

Wow, Jamii, it sounds like you've been dealing with a lot of issues in Storyline lately! I'm sure that had to be so frustrating for you, so I'm glad you reached out about it.

If you're still seeing this strange behavior after trying the steps Richard recommended in your case, we'll want to take a closer look at your Articulate 360 logs so we can narrow down why this is happening. Let us know if you have any trouble accessing and sending those log files.
