I have created my first screen recording (works great!), and I have placed a button on a slide to launch the Screen Recording Scene, but I would like the screen recording scene to launch in it's own window. I can not find a trigger or a setting to do this.
Not sure if I am imagining this but I think you can lad a video in a new window if so load the screencast as a video and set it to open in a new window
In addition to the lightbox and video options, you could also publish your demo separately and then use the Jumpto URL/File trigger to connect to it. Here is a quick example: http://dev.keypointlearn.com/xcl71_SL/PopUp/story.html . It's certainly not as elegant as the lightbox or video options, but technically it's possible.

I don't think you can launch it in its own window but you could launch it in a lightbox which would give you a similar effect.
Just set the action for the trigger on your button to "lightbox slide" and then select the slide that the screen recording is on.

Great!!!
Can I increase the size of the lighbox window somehow?
With Articulate can I save my Screen Recording as a video or access the video some way?

Hi Ray - sorry you can't resize the lightbox. It would be nice if you could.
@Ray, Phil is right there is a way to show the screen recording (video) in a new window.
The Show video option is set to "In Slide" by default but you can change it to "In new browser window"
I never use this because I am not sure how it works with pop-up blockers.
