A client of ours is asking if there's a way to stop the following "Popup Blocked" message to appear when they open up our SCORM 1.2 courses on their iPhone.
I got the same results when I tested with SCORM Cloud. I also made sure to test versions of the course published in Storyline 2 and 360. Both versions get the warning message. And I don't have "Launch player in new window (creates launch page)" selected in Player > Other > Browser Settings.
Is this something that can be fixed in Storyline or would it be something they'd have to do in their LMS? Or is it just something that everyone deals with?
You can set Storyline to open in a new window, but ultimately the LMS has control and can override that setting.
If they select the button on the screen to "launch course" are they able to access it? Also are they only seeing it on their phone? Typically I see that message on desktop too.
This thread is a bit dated and I'm not sure if Michael is still subscribed here. You are certainly welcome to reach out to the user directly via the 'Contact Me' option on the user profile if you do not hear back soon.
Hi Amanda. Our client eventually stopped asking us to solve this problem, so they either fixed it by adjusting something on their end (probably within their LMS) or they just moved on without resolving it. I'd recommend working with your client to see if they have any settings in their LMS that are overriding what Storyline is trying to do, like Ashley mentioned above. Sorry for the vague answer and good luck!

Hi Michael, I am currently experiencing the same issue. Did you ever figure out the solution? Was it a setting the client had to change in their LMS?
