Layer 1 showing on base layer

Hi, I am using Articulate 360 and can't figure out why I cannot see my base layer in the display. The slide has a base layer and one additional layer. For some reason, I see layer one when I have the base layer selected. It shows correctly in preview and I can see all the objects on the base layer in the timeline but I cannot see the base layer itself while it's selected in the display in order to make any changes. Any help would be appreciated.

Simple not sure if this is it but check and make sure that the little eye icon is selected on the lower right corner next to (Base Layer) .
Hi Jeff, thanks for the response. I've checked all the little eyes. The one next to (Base Layer) and the ones in the timeline. They are selected/visible.
Are you able to share a copy of your Storyline file here as that would be a big help in trying to solve the problem?
Thanks

Hello, I took a look. Are you talking about that you can't see the blue Base Layer just visually? I see you have the "3 Options" layer with the eye on it, if you shut that off then you can see your Base Layer, I know simple so maybe that is not what you are talking about.
Honestly I tried that and it didn't work. At least i thought I tried it. That's really crazy. Thank you so much!!! I'll do this within the actual project and hopefully it will work there too,
