layer and button query

Oct 16, 2020

Hi

I have a couple of queries:

I have a 'fwd' button on the slides, set on the timeline to appear when the content has played, allowing the learner to move onto the next slide.  For slides where clicking multiple buttons to trigger a layer with more info, is it possible to make the advance slide button appear after all extra detail has been viewed?  I can set the timeline to be approximate but this doesn't account for varying learner progress speed.

Also, on the same topic i have normal, hover and clicked states on the more info / layer buttons.  When a layer has played and  main slide returns the last button clicked shows the clicked state but previously clicked buttons have returned to normal state.  Is it possible for the buttons to show clicked until the slide is advanced?

Thanks

Gary

Hi Gary,

to your questions:

1) "For slides where clicking multiple buttons to trigger a layer with more info, is it possible to make the advance slide button appear after all extra detail has been viewed?" > Yes. Here you could use the states of the buttons for the layers to check if each layer was opened and then change the state of your next button to visible.

2) "Is it possible for the buttons to show clicked until the slide is advanced?" > Yes, this can be triggered too.

I tried to rebuild an excample slide where you can see both. In my version I change the color of visited buttons, so you can see which one you already looked at. If you want them to change back, you have to trigger the next button in a different way too. So we excactly need to know, what you want to do. If this doesn´t work for you, you could also share a slide with how you want it to be set up and I or someone of the community could trigger it there for you. :)
