I wonder if anyone has any advice. I have a base layer with audio. Users click an object on the base to go to Layer 1, and then click a button to return to the base layer to click another object to get to Layer 2. This action repeats for several layers. Problem is, every time I revisit the base layer, the audio repeats. How can I disable it after the initial play when the slide opens?
Depending on how the user is triggering the layer, you could also look at adding a trigger to stop the audio/video based on the same thing - such as the user clicking on a button? Just make sure the "stop media" trigger appears before the show layer trigger or else it won't be executed.

HI Gail
you can go to the slide settings and choose the option "when revisiting to "Resume saved state".
It should solve your problem
good luck !
