Layer Issue SOS!!

Sep 09, 2020

SOS! I have a task that I need to complete for a client today and am having some issues.

I used a template from E-Learning Heros to develop a process interaction.

Here is the template: https://articulate-heroes-authoring.s3.amazonaws.com/Examples/Storyline/SL2/TimelineProcess/story_html5.html

If you click Next 3 times, it is that sample.

My problem is that upon clicking on each number to reveal a new layer, the numbers along the bottom disappear but do not in the template.

I have tinkered with the hide/show function and cannot seem to figure it out.

I have attached the storyline file for my project.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi Lauren,

The reason you can't see the buttons from the base layer on your layers is you've added a background to all of your layers. The background prevents anything from lower layers from showing through to the layer, and of course with the base layer at the bottom, it then can't display on any layer.

I've gone through and removed the background from the layers on Slide 1, but since you have content on the base layer that shouldn't show through to the other layers, I added a shape to hide that region of each layer. It would be a better solution if you moved the content, except for the buttons, off of the base layer, onto a layer of it's own, leaving only what's common to all layers on the base layer.
