Layer next button

Jul 12, 2016

Hello, I wonder if you wonderful people can help me.  I have a base slide with layers, on the base slide there are hotspots which are directed to the layers when the user clicks which works fine.  On the layers there are buttons that have a visited state that leads the user to another set of slides (new scenes).  This all works fine, however I have created a variable on the layers to set to true if all the buttons have been visited as I want them to return to the original base slide to click the further hotspots to view subsequent layers which I have tried to add a trigger on each layer to.  The problem is when creating a trigger on the layer to jump to this particular slide (in another scene) on the condition that my variable is equal to true the trigger does not save in my list.  Hope this makes sense, am I doing something wrong here.  TIA

Hi Sarah

just so I'm sure I'm checking the correct issue.

2.7 jumps to a number of scenes that have a number of slides.  The final slide of each scene changes a variable to True when timeline starts and then when the user clicks Next on that last slide should go back to 2.7 - so we are talking slides not jumping not layers as you said above or am I looking at the wrong thing?

2.7 jumps to layers that are all working fine, the layers have the boxes that jump to the various scenes which all works fine too.  The problem is that I have set up variables so that when the user has visited the various boxes on the layers then the get redirected to 2.7 base layer and when all layers have been visited then they need to go back to the home slide.  Hope this helps.  And thanks again

Hi Sarah

sorry got lost trying to navigate through it (its late here in Australia ;-)  See the triggers on Slide 2.7 - there are lots of duplicates and I think if you can clean these up it might be easier to work with.

Does the user visit the layers on 2.7 before they jump to other scenes or after they get back?

I am soooo sorry!  Yes, from the hotspots on the base layer 2.7 they need to choose a layer which they need to visit  first.

Then on the layer they have selected (using the hotspots on 2.7 base layer)  they can click on the boxes to be directed to a particular scene.  When the user has visited all the scenes connected to that layer, I want them to return to 2.7 base layer to select another hotspot to take them to the next layer but in order to go to another layer, they need to have visited the scenes on a given layer first.

Then when they have visited the scenes on the layer they then return to the base layer 2.7. Only when they have visited all the scenes on each layer can they then go back to the home screen to start another chapter.
