Please see the attached. When I go to the video on the 3rd slide, press the previous button, and come back to the 3rd slide the presentation freezes. It also shows a white square. What is wrong?
It didn't freeze for me, but I did get the white box. Clicking the white box brought the video back up.
I got the same behavior by putting a button on the video layer (of slide 3) with the trigger "Hide Layer - This Layer - When User Clicks".
I also tried deleting the "Hide Layer..." trigger on the base layer of slide 3-- this made it so that, when I returned to slide 3, the video layer was still open; no white box.
Apparently there's an issue with closing the layer that has an active video on it. Maybe someone with more experience with videos can weigh in with best practices on how to prevent this problem.
I also didn't experience the freezing - but the white box is what you added as a part of the visited state for that shape to show the video. So since the user has already clicked on it - it's being counted as a visit when the user revisits that slide.
In regards to closing the layer, you could add a trigger to the layer to hide it based on the user clicking the previous button or keep your base layer trigger to hide it at start - that way the user will always start on the base layer (I'd also recommend changing your slide properties to "reset to initial state" to force that to happen each and every time).
A recorded a quick video to show you what I was referring to here. I didn't experience any of the freezing before, and for the purposes of the video I just jumped directly to that slide with the white box.

Ashley,
Using my file, can you please show me what you are recommending? I think I need a visual to completely understand.
Thank you.
