I recently updated to the newest Storyline build. I have a course that has a pause timeline trigger that now doesn't pause when the layer is shown. It did with the prior build.
Hi there, Michael. If this change happened just with the last update, it sounds buggy. I'd like to test, however, so I can confirm. Can you let me know the exact setup of this slide?
What are the slide and layer properties?
Is the trigger on the base or the slide layer? What does the trigger say?
So I did a bit of sleuthing myself. It seems to happen to files that were created prior to the update. I made a new file with the same setup and no issues.
The set up is:
from a button trigger I open a layer,
I immediately pause the layer timeline,
the Learner completes the task on the layer and another button trigger resumes the timeline,
then the course advances when the timeline hits one second.
What this achieves is a slight pause before advancing. With the "buggy" update, the timeline doesn't pause so when it hits one second it just advances without any learner interaction.
Again, a new file created after the the update this isn't an issue.
Yes, I tried with and without the seekbar.
In the buggy course i can see the timeline not pause when the layer opens but can in the newer file.

Thanks for the details!
