Layers Not Appearing Correctly in the Articulate App

Sep 03, 2014

Hi,

I have attached a link to a few slides with layers that are not appearing correctly in the Articulate App. When the user pushed the button the base layer is not suppose to be visible. There is no issue when viewing the slides in a regular browser, but in the App, parts of the base layer remain.

Another issue is that when the user press the button the return to the base layer the slide plays, but the audio does not?

Thanks in advance!

Tom

Hi Tom and welcome to Heroes,

Thanks for sharing a link to your course here. I see the behavior you're referring to in regards to objects appearing within the mobile player app - and since I haven't seen the .story file I'll assume that those are the base layer objects, the "left turn" items. This has been reported to our QA team recently as an issue only within the mobile player and it not impacting the HTML5 content within mobile safari. I'll add this thread to the QA report so that they're aware of another user who is being impacted by this. Can you let us know what update of Storyline you're using? We're currently on update 6.

In regards to the audio issue, you'll want to check the slides revisiting properties and see if it's set to resume saved state or reset to initial state. If after checking into the slide properties you're still having difficulty we'll want to take a look at the .story file.
