Learndash + Articulate Storyline - Mark Complete Button
Aug 28, 2017
Hello.
I am currently making a website for E-learning and have chosen Learndash as my LMS merely because it integrates so well with Wordpress and in that way, I can control the frontend visually and its function unlike Moodle (It is still a great LMS).
However, I was in the belief of using a plugin: LearnDash Topic Progression Using Storyline / Captivate – WordPress Plugin, I would be able to mark complete without relying on an LRS.
Has this changed or is it just me putting my configurations wrongly in Articulate Storyline 360?
The issue is as mentioned above that when the content is played in my WP site, it feels like the triggers for exiting the course, redirecting to an URL (the course menu) + the mark complete button wont trigger.
However, if I use the URL where it is residing in my server, exit course trigger, redirect to an URL trigger works. (Mark Complete button wont show but I suspect it's because it's not inside the Learndash).
Does anyone have any insight that could help me? The aim is not to rely on LRS as we do not need to measure anything specific inside the Articulate Storyline courses of the participants.
Kind regards
Dan

Hi Dan,
Was this the plugin you were using: http://www.discoverelearninguk.com/products/learndash-topic-progression-using-storyline-captivate-plugin/ ?
That page gave me a 404 error - but hopefully there are others in the community who use that same combination! Storyline 360 did change how it's published based on our rewrite to the HTML5 output.
Let us know what you find out - as it may help someone else here!
Hello Ashley
To be more exact it was
https://www.discoverelearninguk.com/store/learndash-topic-progression-using-storyline-captivate/
Here is a youtube video from them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBh-lkc4Riw
Is the change on the HTML5 output the reason why it cant trigger to Learndash anymore?
Thanks Dan for the updated link.
I don't know enough about LearnDash or the plugin on that site to say how they'd set it up to work with the Storyline output. The HTML5 output changes were a full rewrite to our publishing process so I know that it caused some other issues for users who had made their own modifications to the published output.
I see. It might not be a valid solution anymore then unless of hardcoding.
I am planning to try out Uncanny Learndash Reporting Plugin & Uncanny Toolkit Pro.
Does anyone have any experience with it in terms of the LRS part and whether that would be sufficient or if an external LRS (such as grassblade) is better?
