Learner needs to exit and finish later - what happens?

Hello,
I tried searching this, but no luck. It seems like and easy default somewhere - but I can't find/remember how this works.
Can someone help me understand what happens when/if a learner is taking an eLearning course and needs to exit out for some reason. When they come back in, I am assuming that they will pick back up where they left off. Is this a setting that I can control?
Example: Participant starts the eLearning course, phone rings and he/she has to deal with an emergency. He/She exits the course and decides to finish later. "Later", he/she goes back into her LMS and re-opens the required course. Where does it start 1) Beginning 2)Where he/she left off?
Thank you in advance,
Heather

Hi Heather
that is an option selected in Player. Depending whether you are using Scorm 1.2 or Scorm 2004 or something else to publish too - there may be suspend data limits that you hit which change the behaviour.
See here and here for more information
Wendy,
Thank you so much.
I could NOT find that!
Appreciate the direction.
Heather
Glad that helped Heather.
