learner path through slides based on role
Jan 13, 2020
I would just like to put the feelers out to find the best approach for creating a learner path through a series of slides based on learner role. The learner chooses their role on slide 1 which in turn sets the profileNum variable to 1/2/3. I am using Storyline 360.
A very rough example is:
Slide1: "select your role" (profileNum variable will be set to 1/2/3 based on role selected by learner)
Slide2: available only to profileNum=1 learners
Slide3: available only to profileNum=2 learners
Slide4: available to all learners
Slide5: available only to profileNum=3 learners
Slide5: available only to profileNum=2 learners
Slide6: available to all learners
Slide7: available only to profileNum=1 learners
etc..
This is a common enough requirement from our clients when building elearning courses so I'm trying to figure out the best, least complicated way of doing this.

Hi Karen,
Thanks for reaching out! I'm eager to see what ideas the community can offer, but in the meantime, you can take a look at this discussion here and the video in this article here that covers how to create a branching scenario course. Hope this helps!
Here's a sample that will show you one way to do it:
