Learning the ropes in Storyline

I have the 30 day trial for
Storyline. I can’t figure out something, and need some assistance. I have a
slide with 5 buttons. Each button connects to a picture & caption. After a
person clicks on one of the buttons, how do I set it up so that they
automatically return to the original slide? If I create a layer for each
picture/caption, then what do I need to do to get the participant back to the
original slide, so they can click on the other buttons?

Hi Sharm and welcome to Heroes,
If I had to do it, I would probably just add a custom button on the layer with a trigger to "hide this layer when the user clicks".
You could also add the trigger to a shape or as an hyperlink on some text.
Hope it helps and don't hesitate to post back if you need further information.

Hi Sharm. Welcome to E-Learning Heroes!
As Annie mentioned there's some good ways to accomplish this. I put together a very short example here.
Using the triggers, you can assign buttons or the images you already have on your layers to return to the slide.
Thanks for the assistance. I got the issue resolved!
