I have done a letter-by letter reveal effect, but i had to create the slide in PowerPoint first with the typewriter effect then export it to SL2. But i haven't found a way that is inside SL2 to create the effect.
Thanks for your input, Terry, and good luck with your project, Ari! Hopefully, other members of the community will also have some suggestions for you. :)
For single lines of text you could use the Wipe animation from left to right. It isn't exactly typing but it does create a similar effect of letters appearing one after the other. If you have multiple line of text, each will have to be in its own text box.
Terry I know you posted this years ago but I am new to Articulate and I was looking to do the same thing and I found your solution. I did create a single slide over in my PP that worked perfectly. I tried to import that slide into my existing Articulate 3 storyline and it showed up but when I tried to play the slide it didn't work. Did you have to do something special when importing to make it work correctly?
I haven't seen a lot of updates or new examples for this - but what about recording the typing and adding it into your file as a GIF? That may be another way to showcase the on slide typing.
