Some kind of solution (but not quite handy if you have a lot of reusable objects) is to create the common objects on the slide master and then apply for them in the project.
Thanks for the quick response and yes, that would help. Unfortunately I'm tasked with updating a current project so editing the Master isn't comfortable for me; I wouldn't want to mess something up unintentionally. I know in Word you can copy to your clipboard and reuse so something on that level would suffice...just sayin'.
